I am offering natural-looking permanent makeup that only a true artist can provide. My services include the following:

Shanan is wonderful! I had such a great time getting my permanent make-up done and love it so much! I have had two sessions with her and I'm looking forward to having more done in the future. I walked in very nervous, because afterall, this is permanent...however Shanan took time to explain in detail the procedure and patiently listened and answered all of my questions and never once did I feel pressured. I ended up getting my eyebrows, eyeliner & lips done and LOVE IT!!! I highly recommend her to anyone even remotely thinking about having this done. Shanan is very professional and extremely skilled at this art. I feel like I not only gained confidence in my appearance, but I also gained a new friend! I would not trust my face to anyone else!!!

I would recommend Shanan to anyone out there considering permanent make up. There is basically no pain, she uses a topical ointment only, no needles for numbing! She is very careful to make sure everything is sterile.
And she is great about making sure that you are not over done!
She takes time to figure out what you want & what will look good on you! And that is exactly what she does!
She did my eyeliner & brow & I love it! everyone is always shocked when I tell them it is permanent make up!
I will be getting my lips done soon!
It just makes life more simple! so if your thinking about it, quit thinking & go for it! You'll be glad you did!
One last thing I might add is....you don't have to be wealthy to do
this for yourself, Shanan is very reasonable, so check her out!

I LOVE my permanent makeup. I had the eyeliner done by Shanan so no more buying eyeliner and trying to get it on just right. Without hesitation I would recommend Shanan if you are interested in having permanent makeup.

Shanan is a master at permanent makeup. She did my eyeliner and I honestly felt no pain! She takes great caution when she does her work. I am so pleased with the results and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to do a permanent makeup procedure. Shanan is abslutely wonderful and a true artist. She is very patient and pays close attention to maintaining a sterile environment and also an environment that is in a medical office. I had my eyeliner completed 5 years ago, and I had her go light because I wasn't much of a makeup wearer. I had my eyeliner completed again this summer because I wanted to go with a more dramatic look. It is perfect! I am always getting compliments on my eyeliner and my eyes, and people are shocked when they find out that I am only wearing permanent makeup. I rarely wear mascara now because the liner gives me enough of an effect. A few years ago, I also had Shanan give me some lips. My lips pretty much just blended into my face for lack of natural color. So now I have natural looking lips and all I wear on them is either carmex or burts bees. I get alot of compliments on my pretty lips too.

Shanan Zickefoose is truly an artist. The end result of permanent makeup is beautiful! To answer common questions I am asked, No. there was no pain. I endured no injections. Topical numbing offered me complete comfort. I must also add that Shanan's personality and kind and professional ways left me very much at ease. Not only is she a professional, she is a friend. I first went to her for permanent eye liner. I followed with brows and lips. Since the procedure, I have never been asked if I have permanent makeup, I have to mention it. Then people are shocked. Typical comments include, "No way! That's a tattoo?!" I explain that it is not a tattoo. It is permanent makeup. The benefits that come with all three procedures include a 3 minute get-ready time regarding makeup application. I wear mascara and clear lip gloss. The money I have saved by no longer buying makeup is huge, and continues. I am 44 years old and find that less tugging and pulling around the delicate eye area reduces the liklihood of more wrinkles occuring sooner, rather than later. Swimming, sweating during exercise, or even just out of the shower; my makeup looks the same. This is truly a gift to have done. My life is easier. Thank you, Shanan, for being such a talented artist, kind person, and ethical professional.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. My best recommendation is to research the technician's credentials and ongoing continuing education hours. I believe all technicians need continuing education, similar to medical professionals. This industry is constantly changing, and each technician needs to stay current. Permanent makeup has changed so much since inception. With current continuing education, the technician has resources and understanding of the most up to date colors and anesthetics. Technicians that affiliate with a professional association in this industry will have the best resources for their clientele. Society of Permanent Cosmetics (SPCP) is the only professional association that is not owned by one personal vested interest. The SPCP has a Board of Directors voted in by the membership. It provides necessary training for the membership to become internationally certified by exam. Members that become certified earn the prestigious credentials, CPCP. Certified Permanent Cosmetic Professionals are the highest acheivers of the permanent makeup industry. Since you are hiring someone to alter your face, please consider the highest acheivers and do not seek a discounted, bargain procedure. Invest now, or invest in repair later.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Sedatives are never necessary
Injectable anesthetics are never necessary
There are many poor technicians causing need for corrective procedures and removal techniques by either saline, laser, or worst case surgical.

Look for certified professionals only.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Clients often call looking for a bargain without realizing there is such a wide range in prices in this region. They often learn they do not get what they pay for. They have been willing to submit themselves to illegal workers that work inside homes to save money. They have no idea the risks they are taking and they have do not realize they have no protection because they chose to participate in illegal work to save money. Anytime clients seek the cheapest deal they are sacrificing, they often have no idea they will need long term maintenance. I receive many phone calls each week with clients seeking assistance with previous applied permanent cosmetics. Invest in your face wisely! I will be here for the long term and it will save you money in the end.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Perfection is key when applying permanent cosmetics. Each client must be treated individually, and needs assessed accordingly. All applications are applied with a very light hand to produce optimum results.
By providing the very best topical anesthetics, no client has ever received an injection, or left with any amount of bruising. Healing time is greatly reduced and clients can resume normal activity almost immediately. It is not uncommon for clients to return to work the same day.

The aftercare products are unique in Oklahoma. I do not result to the typical aftercare OTC, I provide specialized aftercare and specific instructions for every client. I had the fortunate opportunity to train outside Oklahoma and learned special aftercare treatment that provides excellent opportunity to speedy recovery. Ask my clients about their aftercare, they rave about it!

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Every spring, I travel to the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals conventions to acquire my bi-annual continuing education hours.
In the fall, I attend the SPCP's fall conference to acquire the continuing education hours.
Every continuing education hour I acquire credit for provides new insight and education in the differing specialties related to the field of permanent cosmetics.
My clients can be assured I am always up to date on the newest advancements in permanent cosmetics.
