Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Do the research! Ask for references of existing and former clients. Anyone that is going to be responsible for handling your financials should be bonded and insured.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. What is the difference between a bookkeeper, accountant, and a CPA? I want to be able to understand financial reports and know why is it important to review financial data every month.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We make it personal and travel to the client's site to pick up and drop off paperwork. We communicate as often as needed with the client. We offer unlimited visits and phone calls included with a set monthly price. In short, we put you first and explain how understanding your financial reports are crucial.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Meeting new people and seeing the many different ways of operating a business. Also the positive change in owners when they are able to understand how financial reports help their company.

I answer by stating we work with you to understand your financial status, take over as much of the day-today operations you want so you can grow your business.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. When meeting with a potential new client and in the course of discussing our services, I asked "How many persons are on your payroll?" The answer was "On the books or off!" Needless to say we were not a good fit since I informed him there are only one set of payroll books and that wasn't the answer he was looking for!

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. The one item I would like my customers to know is the importance I put on taking the time to get to know their business.and working with them to reach their goals.

Bookkeeping can be a rewarding process (Really!!). It does not have to be stressful and I believe communicating and listening to clients is the key to helping companies understand their financial picture.
