I am very impressed with Jim and his work! The window washer I first hired couldn't make it at the last minute and he recommended Jim at Beckon Call, who rearranged his schedule to get the job done in time for my realtor tour. The windows sparkle and have never looked so good. Not only that, but he charged less than the company I hired originally! That was a very nice and welcome surprise. It was fortunate for me when I happened onto Facebook one day last year and found an ad for Beckon Call. Since it was a local firm and my windows needed to be cleaned, I gave them a call. I received a prompt, courteous, professional response and a very reasonable estimate on the cost. With very little wait time, Jim and his son arrived and cleaned my windows quickly and thoroughly and at a reasonable cost. I've just had Jim and his two sons return today to clean not only my windows, but the windows at a residence where my daughter moved from plus those at her new home. They did a wonderful job at all three locations. Additionally, Jim applied a moss killer to the roof of my home. Jim and his son were like Santa Claus, they "Spoke not a word, but went straight to work." That's not quite true, Jim was quite cordial, I enjoyed chatting with him while he washed our screens (something a lot of window cleaners don't do). Jim was recommended to us by

A. One of the best parts about this line of work is meeting so many interesting people, and learning about some very cool businesses. Everyday is different, challenging and fun, and that is what is so like-able about this job!
I get asked a lot how my day is going, and my most common response is "Always good! It's a choice, right?"
So let's make it a GREAT day!
A. The question I hear the most often is: "Do you use dawn dish soap for the windows?"
Although there are many companies who do, I do not. There is an on-going preference debate known as the "Soap Wars" on this very topic. I am a believer in the right tool for the job, and dish soap is for.... dishes!
I use professional window cleaning products. The type varies from season to season to account for temperature and humidity differences, but they all deliver high quality, consistent results.
A. The cleaning industry on a whole has been moving towards more sustainable processes and chemicals for years now, and it will be exciting to see what improvements are still to come.
One sustainable process Beckon Call is currently doing is using a bike & trailer, a.k.a. Beckon Call à la carte, to service a lot our retail accounts. That's great for the environment and our health, plus the MPG is infinite!
What's on tap for us? Harvesting rain water. Beckon Call hopes in the near future that a high percentage of the water we use to clean with is harvested rain water. It works great for cleaning, which means better results with a little less water taken from the tap.
A. If all homes and businesses were the same, our pricing would be simple!
Each window cleaning job is looked at and priced with the following considerations:
• Number of windows
• Style of windows
• Access issues (height, bushes, trees?)
• What's on the windows (paint, tape residue, 15 years of dirt?)
Most jobs are fairly straight forward, and customers have expressed that our pricing is extremely fair. Our estimates are always free, so stop guessing what it might be... give us a call and find out!
