Introduction: I think my work with animals is highly intuitive. I feel such a deep connection with them that there is almost always an immediate understanding between us. I consider the connections that I form with animals to be sacred and always put their health and safety first. I love making new animal friends! Each animal that I pet-sit or walk has something new and special to teach me. I also love being able to be there for someone's pet when they are unable to be, as many pets feel anxious when their owners are gone. I do my best to reduce this anxiety through fun and love.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a member of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. I am kept informed on the latest trends and happenings in my industry. I also, through affiliation with this organization, have access to their pet sitter education program, which allows me to take courses on business management, animal care and pet health management.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I decided that working closely with animals was the way to go because I have been an animal lover from a very early age. I understand them, and they seem to feel this from me. It makes for a very rewarding experience.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

The most common types of jobs that I do are dog walking, followed by pet sitting. Some clients prefer me to stay at their house and watch over, not only the animals, but the house itself, and some clients prefer the two to three time a day drop-in care.
