FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. I am kept informed on the latest trends and happenings in my industry. I also, through affiliation with this organization, have access to their pet sitter education program, which allows me to take courses on business management, animal care and pet health management.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided that working closely with animals was the way to go because I have been an animal lover from a very early age. I understand them, and they seem to feel this from me. It makes for a very rewarding experience.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs that I do are dog walking, followed by pet sitting. Some clients prefer me to stay at their house and watch over, not only the animals, but the house itself, and some clients prefer the two to three time a day drop-in care.
