My passion is helping others. I enjoy helping families through the many rewards and challenges of parenting. Even though I have been professionally involved in the adoption field for over 15 years, my greatest experience has come through learning and living with my own children. My husband and I are lucky to be the proud parents of thirteen children (eleven of which joined our family through the adoption miracle). My greatest desire is to help keep families intact and encourage them during life's numerous transitions.
Although I specialize in attachment, adoption, abuse and trauma, I also work with a broad range of clients including children with special needs, large families and homeschooled families. I work with individuals who have been adopted (adult adoptees, children and teens), birth parents, adoptive families, and a vast range of family dynamics. I also assist with disrupted placements.
Primarily, I do therapy with the child and parent together versus the traditional therapy where the parent waits in the waiting room. Parents are involved in the therapy process, and I help the child and parents with behavioral concerns and attachment issues.
For organizational tips, family structuring, and money management, I am happy to do home visits. Setting up a high structure and high nurture environment is the key to success!

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I work as a support and resource to the family unit instead of working exclusively with the child.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I enjoy helping families achieve their full potential by assisting in the transition from traditional parenting to therapeutic parenting.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. What experience do I have? Personally, I have 14 children (12 of whom joined our family through the miracle of adoption). We have adopted infant, toddler, older child, special needs, open adoption, domestic, international, and embryo adoption. These experiences have brought great joy to my life AND given me a tremendous amount of personal experience in the healing process.
