- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. Two annual training conventions - this year, maybe three as I am developing a larger team with more services. I attend several monthly classes/workshops, year-round. I have taken numerous business courses and currently am in a one-year Business Mentorship Program. I belong to a Professional Women's Business association.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was working in Early Childhood Education "to make a difference" in children's lives. I discovered face painting 17 years into my career. It was at this time that I met and married my husband. The transition from ECE to face painting happened as a result of a changing lifestyle and has evolved into a thriving business where I get to bring joy to people on an ongoing basis. It allows me to "make a difference" in people's lives as I help them celebrate and commemorate milestone occasions and give them some lasting memories to look back on and enjoy for always.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Hmmm... I do all sorts of gigs from children's birthday parties to company picnics to fairs and festivals to night clubs to adult theme parties to high school grad parties and so much more. My favorite large scale events are music festivals. My favorite children's events are birthday parties. My favorite overall events are company picnics and holiday parties. Okay, wait.. I really love doing them all! I'm like a chameleon or something! I love the dance clubs. Love the schools. Summer camps. Birthday parties. Company events. Grand Openings. Oh, my... I just Love them all!
