Introduction: I am an award-winning face and body artist with 12 years of field experience working in all sorts of environments, from small birthday parties to large scale music festivals, church summer camps to universities to dance clubs to art shows to large county fairs. I am a skilled SPEED PAINTER with a knack for surprising people with one-of-a-kind designs tailored to each individual. When developing a package for my clients, I book the best artists in the industry within the clients' budget. I will not disappoint you! Manja and her team were amazing. My daughter wanted a 4 year old "Frozen" birthday and I hired Manja for face painting and twisted balloon decorations for the party. The ballons were absolutely stunning and really made the entire ambiance of the party more fun! The amount of balloons I received for the price was fantastic and super fun! Manja's face painting always steals the show at birthday parties. I have been to several that she was painting, and then hired her for my daughter's 4th birthday party. The kids just love it and the adults are always SO impressed with how quickly she is able to make the most amazing designs on small wiggly children. I would absolutely book Manja for a party or other fun event with children!

We hired Manja to paint adults' faces at my partner's 50th birthday party--she was so amazing, we hired again at our wedding party. She's friendly, professional, and super talented. Shining Faces did a wonderful job helping my childcare celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Between face painting and the balloon animals they kept 30+ kiddos very busy and happy. I would definitely recommend and use them again for future events.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. Two annual training conventions - this year, maybe three as I am developing a larger team with more services. I attend several monthly classes/workshops, year-round. I have taken numerous business courses and currently am in a one-year Business Mentorship Program. I belong to a Professional Women's Business association.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was working in Early Childhood Education "to make a difference" in children's lives. I discovered face painting 17 years into my career. It was at this time that I met and married my husband. The transition from ECE to face painting happened as a result of a changing lifestyle and has evolved into a thriving business where I get to bring joy to people on an ongoing basis. It allows me to "make a difference" in people's lives as I help them celebrate and commemorate milestone occasions and give them some lasting memories to look back on and enjoy for always.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Hmmm... I do all sorts of gigs from children's birthday parties to company picnics to fairs and festivals to night clubs to adult theme parties to high school grad parties and so much more. My favorite large scale events are music festivals. My favorite children's events are birthday parties. My favorite overall events are company picnics and holiday parties. Okay, wait.. I really love doing them all! I'm like a chameleon or something! I love the dance clubs. Love the schools. Summer camps. Birthday parties. Company events. Grand Openings. Oh, my... I just Love them all!
