Humor. You may feel stuck, uncertain or nervous about your life right now. While I take this very seriously, I find that people enjoy being able to talk to a "real" person. From what I hear I'm "real" largely because of my sense of humor.
The goal is not to have fun but to find your healthy self. I just believe that being a good clinician doesn't mean you have to be "clinical". Sometimes laughter is the best medicine, or if nothing else, a great vehicle! Let's roll up our sleeves and move forward toward getting better.
I enjoy working with folks who find themselves really stuck. I work with "normal" people that suffer from nightmares, flashbacks or horrible memories that they avoid thinking about for fear that they will be sucked into some abyss of emotion.
I am trained in EMDR and other modes of therapy to help with this.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. My passion for connection and attention to remembering we are all just human on earth trying to trudge through life. I think humor is a good coping tool and my clients feel it is refreshing!
