Question and answer
Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. my commonest students are beginners who love singing but have stayed away from it. These students excel.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Basic advice: not all teachers fit all students. I don't success with everyone. You might find a colleague of mine reaches you better than I do. Go with who works for you.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Practice, Practice, Practice.
To be a good singer, you have to sing at least 45 minutes three times a week, or your instrument just cannot do what it is physically capable of. I wish everyone knew this.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Why do you sing?
How will your voice help your life?
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. Like the best voice teachers, I teach solid technique in lots of styles, but I stand out because I can teach online, decreasing the cost and hassle of learning music and singing.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love it when students show rapid progress toward their artistic and career goals.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. "how do you teach online"...
Get a headset for your computer and sign up for Skype. We'll see and hear each other from our computers. The sound is clear and useful, like a video phone call.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. In a two hour span or teaching, my London student delightedly opened her high notes, then a US student gleefully mastered his troublesome low range, then a German gent finally realized how to sound like a Italian native. I love global communications.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. I'm laughing about this question, because it's my happy duty to teach what my customers need to know about me and my profession. So the answer is: EVERYTHING!
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. Since the 1980's, I've been sought out as a teacher and vocal coach because of my performances. As just one man, I can only make so much music... but through students and performing groups, I can make much more music.
