I've been training with Cara for several years now. I do mostly marathons and some obstacle/endurance events. I love her solid, professional work ethics. She is structured in delivering daily guidance and utilizes her expertise in all areas. She's the best!

Cara is an excellent personal trainer! I enjoy her challenging workouts and that she teaches me to listen to my body. Cara is great about varying workouts so they never get boring. I was worried that I'd be criticized about my weight as a way to 'motivate' but I never once felt judged about my size.

I have been working with Cara Esau for about 6 months. It has been a pleasure to work with a fitness trainer who is also a nurse and takes care to design work outs that improve your strength and fitness, but avoids the risk of injuries.Thanks to her, I now have the right to "bare" arms.

Cara became my running coach a couple of years ago and worked with me through email and phone consultations. She also monitored my training as I logged them on a running blog. She was very responsive, incredibly positive and always encouraging. Would definitely work with her again in the future!

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    Weight loss is the most common goal of my clients. I have seen much success in attaining weight loss goals as my clients begin to make effective exercise an essential part of their lives. Also, most clients want to develop beautiful, strong muscles! I know exactly how to achieve that goal too!

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Make sure that the trainer has a really excellent certification, such as NASM. Also, a trainer should be able to do a thorough assessment of your fitness level and your goals. I don't recommend trainers who will just throw a bunch of exercises at a person, rather than customizing the workout. And a trainer must respect the client's feedback, rather than shouting at the client like some kind of drill sergeant. I definitely want my clients to listen to their bodies and let me know how the exercises feel.
