Allies in Change Counseling Center is an adult psychological services center. We offer individual, couples and group counseling for men and women. For details on our different counseling options, please see below.
* Individual Counseling
We offer individual counseling for men and women for a variety of issues including managing emotions such as anger, depression, stress, and anxiety; building greater intimacy and connection in relationships with others including romantic partners, family members, and friends; coping with significant changes and transitions in life related to relationships, work, family, health, and other issues; and identifying and addressing behaviors that can undermine one’s happiness, such as addictions.
Some other common issues we help individuals with include effectively managing personal challenges, building and improving interpersonal relationships, and increasing a sense of serenity and centeredness in what can be a chaotic world.
* Couples Counseling
We offer couples counseling to help build greater intimacy and connection in intimate relationships. We see couples for a number of issues, including those with a lack of healthy communication, difficulties managing emotions, and behaviors that negatively affect the relationship.
Our licensed therapists will help provide valuable insights and relationship skills that can help improve the intimacy and friendship in your relationship. Learn how to share a deeper connection, improve healthy communication, breakthrough and resolve conflict amicably, and reignite your affection for one another.
* Graduate Student Therapists - Low Fee
Allies in Change Counseling Center offers low-cost individual counseling for clients seen by our practicum students. This gives students the opportunity to gain experience working with clients while being supervised by our clinical director.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. The mission of Allies in Change Counseling Center is to raise awareness of, educate about, and encourage the practice of healthy, loving and respectful relationships with oneself, one’s partner and family, and the community. As our name reflects, Allies in Change intends to promote working with others as allies. We acknowledge that some cultural values such as traditional definitions of gender roles and power undermine a person’s ability to be fully loving in relationships. We seek to address and change these values on individual, familial and societal levels. As an agency, we seek to practice these values ourselves in both our professional and personal lives.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. The most rewarding part of working in a counseling center is witnessing the positive change in people's lives. Whether you are part of the positive changes or just a witness, there is something very gratifying about helping make other people's lives better.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. The most common question we get is whether we accept health insurance. The answer is yes. We accept a variety of health insurance plans and we can check your insurance benefits for you if you would like.
