Guitar & Bass Instruction

Provided by: Ed Thanhouser - Guitar, & Bass Instruction

Keeping Engaged and Inspired with Music

Mostly, I feel incredibly lucky to have so many students who soak up my lessons like sponges, and when they come in a week later, it's the very real improvement we can both see that puts huge grins on our faces.

Ed Thanhouser started as an instructor at other schools. He designed an entire curriculum and developed a program for an after-school English academy in rural Japan. As a music instructor, he taught kids how to play and perform rock music, but he later realized that he could start his own lesson studio. At first, he had no idea what he was doing. He knew how to teach, but didn't know how to promote his business...until he came across Thumbtack.

When I found Thumbtack I was actually looking for a piano tuner, and suddenly realized I could list my teaching service. From there the referrals piled up. Besides, it gave me the opportunity to vet potential students and make sure they would really be a good fit for me, and vice-versa.

Ed recently completed his second full-length album with his band, Ed & The Red Reds.

If you are into music and would love to get a teacher who can keep you engaged and inspired while learning how to master your craft, consider a session with Ed Thanhouser.
