I needed my two story house trip painted and called three painting contractors for estimates. Shades of Painting owner, Darren, presented himself and his company well. As a young company, I felt confident that he would strive for maximum customer satisfaction for positive testimonials. I was wrong. The only thing professional about Shades of Color painting is their business cards, web site and invoices. The web site boasts of ?continuous communication from start to finish?. Not true. There was little or no communication to the lead painter who arrived on site with no well-defined idea of what was to be done. Moreover, there was a distinct lack of company supervision and shoddy crew performance. Additionally, there was damage to my landscape, contractual work not performed and cigarette butts from the crew littering my driveway and surrounding street. Lastly, Darren promised to review the job before his crew left the site. He skipped on the appointment and never called. I would NOT recommend this company to a friend, a relative or a neighbor.

    Please make sure your contractors are ccb licensed and bonded. Also check to make sure they have full time employees that are career minded. The quality of work will show!
