Hello.

My name is Peter Rogen. I had been tutoring professionally and privately for the past 4 years in New Hampshire (at a rate of 35$/hr), along with working at a high school in the Special Education Department during that time.

I have a comprehensive understanding, and have had 4 1/2 years of direct contact with high school level material in all subject areas. Most of my tutoring, and the areas in which I am comfortable charging my rate, was done in math in science, specifically Physical Science, Chemistry, Physics, Algebra I, Geometry, Trigonometry and Algebra II.

I have an undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire in English, with a minor in philosophy, (so I have experience in liberal arts as well, and am as competent in those areas as in any other) although math and science are in my blood and at the moment I plan on attending PSU beginning this summer to continue towards my MAT in physics.

Besides those areas I am also proficient in Spanish as I took 3 years in high school, a semester in college, and have been sitting in on Spanish I and II classes while working at Oyster RIver High School during the past 2, so I have a certain comfort level there as well.

My personal skills, work ethic, and academic skills, and the more important ability to convey those understandings, are all wonderful and led me to many tutoring opportunities and wonderful recommendations from the high school in NH because of word of mouth and receiving praise from parents whose kids I tutored and worked with year after year.

If it would help me, or you, at all I can contact parents of past tutoring jobs to get letters of recommendation straight from the parents who wrote my checks. Please let me know if this would be worth my time as it would not be difficult for me to do on top of my recommendations from within the school.

Thank you for all your time in consideration, and I hope to hear from you soon. I am available as soon as you would need at this point, my compensation is open to adjustment as would be required by the jobs and students, and believe you could benefit tremendously from my experience and enthusiasm as a teacher and tutor.
