Lynnelle is dedicated, energetic and fun to work out with. I've been working with her for quite awhile and appreciate the advice she provides to help me achieve the results I'm after. I would highly recommend her for your personal training needs.

I found Lynnell quite by happenstance. I am glad my kids made me stop at the bouncy house one day in the Urgent Care parking lot. Lynnell was at a table with many others there but I was drawn to her. It was time for me to get moving and she was there to help. She is very approachable, adapts to my needs and genuinely cares about me and my goals. In all the years I have worked out off and on, I have never really looked forward to seeing my trainer, knowing the pain and intensity that was coming. With Lynnell it is different. I make time to see her and even after a hard workout, I leave with a smile. She not only nutures my muscles, but my soul too. I may not be a poster child of results because she can't control what I put in my mouth, but I am stronger and more tone than I used to me. More importantly, my mindset has changed and I feel better about myself and the world around me. Thanks Lynnell!!

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Most people are looking to lose weight, or tone. I always start with their goals but add a few of my own. Usually people are surprised to find out they've surpassed their goals and have started on new ones.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Try a trainer for a month. It takes some time for the trainer to really understand your body. Sometimes you don't click with your trainer for a couple of sessions but training twice a week for a month will give you a great idea if this trainer is for you.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Ask if your trainer is certified or has recently been certified. Injuries can happen to any of us but certified trainers know how & when to push a client without incurring injury.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. It's always good to get the "go ahead" from your primary care doctor before starting a new workout plan.
It's also great to know if your personal trainer is certified but, just about anyone can get the paper that states course work was completed. I feel it's more important to know what experience a trainer can bring to your fitness goals.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I can truly give you one on one training, consider your goals and provide you with results.
My sessions are 45 minutes to an hour, not 30 minutes on paper but really only 20 like the big box gyms offer. Call LA Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness, Cascade & the rest of the gyms ask for a free one hour training session.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I really enjoy finding out what motivates my clients. The common denominator is variety. I enjoy creating new routines incorporating fun exercises that invigorate my clients.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How often should I train with you? My answer is that depends on your goals. Generally speaking working out with weights should be done 3-4 times a week, and cardio 3-4 times a week, BUT not on the same days!

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. I had a client who wanted to lose weight. She was very self-conscious & shy. Once she started her weight training with me and found that she could really lift some pretty heavy weight her confidence bloomed. As her weight went down she found her voice and let her personality shine through. It was a transformation of sorts. I loved playing a small part in her life.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Personal training will take you as far as you want to go.
It can improve your outlook, self-esteem, improve your health, sleep, sex-life so many areas besides weight loss. Your trainer becomes a friend who loves you for who you are.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I was in a severe car accident and really lost a lot of flexibility and strength. I lived with daily pain. Doctors wanted to put me on drugs, physical therapists told me to do repetitive exercises that hurt. I found a great trainer that really knew anatomy and taught me how to work through the pain to gain the strength and flexibility I needed.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Yes, certification needs to be repeated every 2 years. I believe it's important to do several types of certification. It doesn't make sense to repeat the 2nd grade over and over again.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. Certainly "Bootcamps" are popular but that's not really new. The same thing with Kettle bells.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. I charge thirty dollars per session. Each session is approximately sixty minutes of training and/or nutritional counseling. I accept cash or check currently. Pay in advance packages at special rates are available. Please call Lynnell and ask for details about the package that will work for you.
