Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. For Portraits: Make sure you prepare well in advanced and have lots of sleep and hydrate prior to getting photographs. Keep make up to a minimal and style your hair normally. The idea is to capture YOU as YOU. If you are new to getting your picture taken, make sure you practice smiling in front of a mirror. Get that jaw loosened up and show-up with a positive mind!

Fashion / Lifestyle: Get lots of sleep and hydrate prior to shooting. This will make sure that you have a natural radiance about you.

Actors: Follow all of the above. Also, make sure you contact you Agent/Manager and ask what type of wardrobe options are needed for your shoot.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Photographers are people to. Sometimes they can get nervous when shooting another person. Photographers actually enjoy taking photos but dread touching them up. Remember that processing takes a considerable amount of time, so please be sure to speak-up if an image need to be done at a reasonable time frame. Most, photographers are usually working constantly and tend to forget often. It's the artist in them. Please make sure that you are actively working with the photographer (without being too demanding) to help the process move smoothly.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. A Client should always ask about clothing options and locations. They should also ask what 'framing' the photographer shoots in. It is best to communicate with the Photographer until you receive your images.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Research all the Photographers in your area. Make sure that they have the look and feel of the images you are looking for. Never go with what is the cheapest. Sure $60 - $100 may seem like a steal for Headshots, but does the Photographer specialize in the style of photography you seek. If you are looking for a Headshot, for example, seeking a photographer that specialize with fashion could be a risky investment. Fashion photographer's eye are different than portrait photographers. One hour of research is really all it takes to make the right decisions. Good Luck!

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I enjoy meeting new people. I get to walk around my neighborhood and chat about whatever, which makes me much more in tuned with the person(s) I'm about to photograph. I often shoot outdoors in the fresh Oregon air, surrounded by the elements. So, in a nutshell, what i like most about photography is the relationships that I build with my clients. I strive to do my absolute best in creating a product of value and to make my clients smile.
