I supplement every studio session with my own top of the line Apogee Symphony converters, preamplifier rack, and microphone collection; which includes several hand built ribbon microphones. I enjoy the creative processes of collaborating with musicians and enhancing the original idea of a song. I also really like using my understanding of acoustics to capture an instrument as it sounds in a space or to completely change the sound of the room to make that instrument sit right in a mix. More than anything, the friendships I've made through working with musicians in the studio has been the best part of engineering records. Music is social.
