Introduction: Other video photographers are solely technicians who can deliver only a limited range of thematic accentuations on location and in editing. I have years of experience in digital video photography, theatre and music, and constantly call upon all my disciplines to inform my choices as a filmmaker.
Seeing a finished product. When we start we have a vision for what we want it to look like, but when cameras role we capture some amazing things that were never planned. Editing is a very involved process, and the product is murky at first, but then becomes clearer and clearer. And then we have a tight video with a set pace and a plethora of minuscule and major adjustments to color, sound, light, transitions, and on and on... but when the video is locked and released, I forever look back on my work with personal accountability, and so I strive to always look back with pride.
