Do you need to increase your writing, reading and communication skills? I am the teacher for you. I provide academic tutoring for 1st to 12th grade. I have taught ESL and SAT preparation, as well as basic Math to Calculus.

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. I have worked a great deal with children that have behavioral/emotional or special circumstance. I like the challenge and opportunity to influence someone that others do desire to help. I believe that everyone learns differently and creative methods need to be used.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. A parent needs to get to know a teacher and allow from their child to connect to them. When a student and teacher can work together usually success is eminant.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. How do you balance your time between the classroom and private students? I wish in the beginning there was a set answer. I like tutoring students outside my classroom because a different color is brought to my daily teaching. Also, I can separate myself from my classroom and give specified attention to this student's needs.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. A buyer shoudl know the specific materials that need to be taught. If there are any specific challenges that students have- make a list along with former techniques used.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I strongly believe that every individual, when given the right tools, can be victorious. I am a creative teacher and work hard to find the methods.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I enjoy hearing about my students success and their excitement about learning.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. What are you going to teach my child? The materials and skills he/she needs to go beyond their teachers expectations.
Why did you become a teacher and still do it? I have an inspiring English teacher, Mrs. P, who encouraged me to write. I wanted to be like her to other students. I enjoy teaching new things and learning new things.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. One of my students of 10 years decided to become a teacher. The great part is keeping in touch with her and hearing about success/ failure stories.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. In the aspect of profession, there is always a challenge to attack. About myself, I would want my customers to know that I take a great deal of pride in teaching and enjoy it a great deal.
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. In Boston, I had a student that was in 9th grade and should have been in 11th. My role was to advance the student, 2 grades ,over one full year + summer. The greatest challenge was assisting the child with social/ behavioral skills. He was very intelligent but easily distracted and unable to properly able to interact with peers and adults. David is doing well now and a freshman at U Mass. Boston.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I continually take courses at the Master Level to learn new techniques for other educators.
Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?
A. The usage of computers is continually growing and changing what and how we teach.
Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.
A. I have been working on research in Bullying. The cost is pretty much my time and travel. I observe, interact, and assist students and teachers in this field.

A. My pricing system often depends on the need of the student and the parents ability to pay.
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. The first step is to volunteer. Interact with different age group of children and pick several topics to teach.
