WARNING This guy is a con/liar/sociopath. He has had my car since December 2013. He ruined my engine beyond repair and refuses to get a hold of me. I have to call him from blocked numbers and other peoples phones. Same old lies and just beats around the bush. Took my car from Salem after he lost his business and moved it to Independence without notifying me. Found his "shop" and discovered my car parked out in the sticker bushes with my engine in the back seat. DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN. He is a liar and a crook. I'll be lucky if I ever see my car again. He is delusional and I truly believe he believes his own lies. Just google him under Mike Selmers, Akers, etc. You can read for yourself how creepy crazy he is. You've been warned. Now this will have to go to court and I have been told I'll be waiting in line for a long time.

    Michael 'Akers'
    Mike 'Salmer'
    Mike 'Bohanan'

These are three names I was able to locate relating to this crook. Do your research before continuing. This man is a con artist. There have been many victims and unfortunately there will be more.

    Do your research!

referred by the son of a friend to do mobile work on a GMC van..He came pretty much stated that it was dead and way to much mileage..which it was over 300,000. He talked about vehicles that were at his shop and I asked if any were available..he said a 2000 Ford Explorer..we agreed and he said he would bring it out when he came to pick up the ended up being at 11 PM the next night..I tried a bit earlier to cancel being exhausted but he was so close he would be here shortly..when he came they offloaded the Ford and had me drive it 15 ft. into the garage..It was dark and I could barely see..but as it turned out he did everything to his advantage and played it well. I signed everything including my van title and off they went. 5AM the next morning, I look at the title and it is for a 1995 Ford Explorer and not in very good condition..transmission slipping, dome light non-functional, heater not working, no radio working and who knows. I called and only got the answering machine..left a message; he did not return the, I left another message that I had stopped payment on the check for $3300..yup, he called..then he came over all apologetic and snowballed me again to make it right..had a 2006 Hybrid Ford Excape that would be released from impound and that he would exchange that for the '95...put it in I reissued the check..3 trip permits later the '95 is still here and I had to license it and he does not return our phone calls..I did inform the BBB of this.

Do not trust this person just look up one Michael Selmer's arrest record before contacting. You'll be glad you did.

I called and Mike was really nice and informative. He came out when he said he would. Went through explaining step by step what I needed done and so on. He and another guy came and did the work. The next day my car ran for one day and broke down again Mike said he would be out to fix the problem that night then the next morning this was October 16. I have NOT heard from him since. I have called and left messages several times.. I have emailed him and nothing. I really thought he was a man of his word. I did some research and have found several different names he goes by: Michael Selmer, Michael Bohanan, Michael Akers, and several sites D&S Enterprises, Atuomodive Inc and a few others. I am not sure who this man really is. He is a great con artist and can talk really good. BEWARE.....!!!! and to think I was truley impressed. He replaced the Resiter ass. For charging systemr and got new battery...said he would change the alternator. I am just really upset that people are not who they say they are and not trust worthy... I don't have money to be just throwing away...

Ive been working with this company for over 2 years on all 6 of our cars as well as our farm equipment. I would not change companies for nothing...professional service, very transparent with repairs and love how they treat customers with little to no knowledge about vehicles. Thanks to all of their staff

Mike is a crook. I never got my work finished and he "borrowed"my RV and never paid me for it. Had to take him to court. Do not deal with this man or his wife.

March 18 review is not spam. I would not hire Michael Akers again. He is not telling the truth. Ask him why he is no longer on and I would call the Oregon BBB.Thats just my opinion.

I was looking for a mechanic for my daughter who at school in Eugene (I'm in Southern California) and was having problems finding a mobile mechanic who I could trust since I was not there.

Mike responded to my ad and explained his business. I also checked the Thumbtack reviews and felt he was worth a try.

He called my daughter about an hour before he planned on arriving. When he got there, he took a look and confirmed my initial suspicion about a bad alternator. He also gave the car a once over, found bad spark plugs, a worn out battery and a missing piece of duct work. He even got me a deal on a replacement battery as mine was just out of warranty.

All work was explained to my daughter first and then to me over the phone. Great communication and excellent work. Now I have someone I can go to in the Eugene area

    Thanks Mike

Michael Akers was hired to do a job and my mistake was that I paid him ahead. He never completed the job and it has cost me $1000's in damages. We are in the process of taking legal action. Just check the BBB for Auto Mo Dive. I will never hire him again.

Mike was very well informed with what my RV needed. Fixed it in a short manner, and checked other things as well. I will certainly call him again. I plan for him to be my all around mechanic for all 3 of my vehicles. Excellent service. Friendly very reasonable

I needed my alternator replaced. The job took quite a bit longer than expected. I appreciated that they came to my house on a Sunday in bad weather and (eventually) darkness and completed the job successfully. The owner (not the mechanic who came to my house) called me before and after the job was done and his communication was excellent. I think they really do care about their customer's satisfaction and doing the job right. Also, the price was very reasonable-- thank you! Overall, I am satisfied and my car is running well again.

Work was performed to my satisfaction in less time then quoted. Technicians were friendly and informative. Would have liked to have been called when service professional was late.

I first called Automodive after I received a prompt response quote for my inquiry because my car wasn't starting on Christmas eve. Michael, the CEO of Automodive, diagnosed that my starter was out. I had plans to go to a dinner on Christmas day and he offered to give me a ride to and from the party because I was without a car. I couldn't believe how amazing the customer service was. Michael came back to my house the next day and completed the starter replacement on my 2001 Honda Accord. He was very professional, honest and helpful. I highly recommend Automodive to anyone who is looking for affordable car care and excellent customer service!
