I started this company after my little 12 pound dog got injured in a kennel once when I went away. I didn't know better, and the experience was terrible! I found out later that most places leave your pet in a cage the whole day with little or no human contact.

When I pet sit, my goal is to make you and your pet feel safe and relaxed. I do sitting in my home, or I can come by and visit yours. When in my care, pets are not left alone or kenneled all day. I will have them out, playing and being cared for. Families can call me anytime on my cell phone to check on their pet. I am always available and always here for your pets. I have several different packages to fit unique needs and budgets. Everything is posted on my web page.

"Due to unusual travel circumstances, it was necessary to find care for my 11-year-old Chocolate Lab Bernie for one month. We would not use a traditional kennel due to the length of time that we needed care for him and we wanted him to be loved and given the care that he needs.

We are full-time RV'ers and were spending several months in Salem, Oregon. We did not know anyone in the area to make a recommendation for in home care for Bernie. Deborah (Mercy) did an outstanding job in her care for Bernie. He was fed, walked, given his medications and cared for as we take care and love him. Bernie is a very big lab, standing hip high and weighing about 100 pounds. Even at 11 years old he still has a high energy level. Deborah(Mercy) did a great job exercising and walking him. She treated Bernie like a loved member of her family, and we could not have asked for better care for him. Bernie was sad to leave her, and we will be taking him over for a short visit before we leave the area.

I highly recommend Deborah Mercy Jean and Pet and People Services. She provides first class service and is highly professional with a loving and caring attitude. I would not hesitate to take Bernie there again and will when we are in the area in the future. She provided the best care for my beloved dog that anyone could except for my husband and myself. Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. I would make sure that the provider is not just in it for the money. It will still work well either way, but if I am leaving my home or my pets to someone, I would someone who truly cares. I also feel that a Reiki session will go much better when the practitioner who is doing the Reiki is serious about helping.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I believe I stand out in my field because I am truly active in trying to make things better for animals who suffer. I am very pro-active with that, which makes me really care about the animals I work with. This is not just a job for me. I also get great satisfaction in knowing that I can help someone or that, because of me, their day or week was easier. I think we all need a little neighborly love.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I enjoy all aspects of my business. That is why I decided to make this company! It is nice to love what you do...and if it pays the bills, then it is super nice!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Most customers ask me what Reiki is. They also ask me where the energy involved with Reiki comes from. I used to answer, but it became such a everyday question that I now feature a Q&A page on my website!
