About
I write custom vows for each couple, pouring my heart and soul into the writing so that the words are meaningful and unique. As a poet, the writing of the vows and collaborating with the couple until the vows are just perfect is my favorite thing, and being a part of such a happy day brings me joy. I also love helping coordinate the rehearsal, because everyone is relaxed and being silly before the big day.

We had a wonderful time working with Rebecca. She had great ideas and the customized vows were really great. I heard from many people that attended the wedding that she did a great job and that she made it a beautiful day for us. I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for an officiant.

From the very first phone call, Rebecca was awesome. Meeting her was such a pleasure and the way she put together our ceremony it was personal and intuitive to both our wishes. The wedding day was perfect. We could not have asked for a better person to officiate our most special day! Thank you Rebecca!!!

We absolutely LOVE Rebecca, she helped to make our vows just as we wanted them and also came up with a great way to incorporate our daughter. It was short and sweet just the way we wanted, we didn't want to drag it out forever. She was very professional and I would recommend her to anyone. She is a great person that really makes sure your needs are met.

Rebecca did a wonderful job for us. The personalized vows she wrote were great. She took the time to get some back story and integrated it into everything she did. She was always there with advice on the entire wedding when needed, and super east to work with. She helped make our wedding a wonderful event. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to get hitched.

Rebecca is amazing. Her personal written vows were awesome. We would have never found anyone better fit for us. She incorporated both cultures very well. And took time to get to know us and pick up the little things. We highly recommend her.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

When my husband and I were married in 1998, our Wedding Officiant was very crabby and read the vows in a monotone voice. It was such a spectacularly happy day, and he was the only disappointment. I never wanted any other couples to go through that, so I researched how to become ordained and went for it.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Don't wait until the last minute to book your officiant! We are often near the bottom of the list when it comes to couples booking their vendors! I've performed multiple ceremonies in a day, but depending on travel time between venues, I am limited in availability. Saturdays, of course, are the most popular day and often booked a year in advance. If you wait until the last minute, you could be cheating yourself out of the time and attention a good officiant wants to provide. Ask lots of questions. Do they have references or reviews? Check out their website, facebook page, Google+, Twitter, etc. - you can find out a lot through social media and really get a sense of whether they might be a good fit for you.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Not to wait till the last minute. Surprisingly, booking the Wedding Officiant is often one of the last vendors booked! You can't get married without us! And I need time to write up the vows.
