Introduction: I grew up in a family of sports instructors and teachers and now have the chance to apply a broad range of knowledge about instruction for children and adults to horseback riding. I have taught in various disciplines and programs, learning from each of them what works best. With my own program now, I can take the best of what I have learned and tailor each lesson to each student so everyone gets the most out of my instruction.
I love watching as my students improve and gain knowledge about what they are doing. It is fantastic to see a student not only do something well but be able to understand why they did it well and be able to asses on their own what they are doing well and what needs improvement. It is the greatest joy to have a student fully understand what is happening that they no longer need me to help.

Adria, at Iron Horse Riding Academy, has been a godsend for me, for my daughter, and for our horse, Dylan. Adria's calm and competence were just what we were looking for. She has instilled confidence and a love of riding in our daughter, and has brought out the very best in her horse. A great combination. Thank you, Adria!

Adria is a wonderful instructer who is both knowledgeable and understanding. She does not criticize the student in any way, and offers them the chance to understand what they need to learn. I could not recommend Adria any more highly. My daughter has been riding for 3 years and this last few months with Adria she has grown much more confident in herself. Adria also gives the students a chance to do hands on horse management so that they can hopefully learn to manage their own horse one day.
