Excellent experience! Fast, on time, very reasonably priced, friendly problem solvers. We had a heavy island exhaust fan that needed electrical upgrade and installation. They did a fantastic job and were so kind too. We would not hesitate to recommend or hire again!

4Gen showed up on time and effectively navigated the installation of my new outlet for my bidet. The total was the exact amount they quoted and finished quickly. They even nicely cleaned up the workspace before leaving. Would definitely hire again!

I can’t say enough good about 4Gen Electric, Steve, and Kari. They were quick to respond to my inquiry and answered questions to where I knew they were the ones to help me. I had a new shower insert installed and needed a light and a fan put in. I also put in a bidet but needed a gfci outlet behind the toilet to plug into. As is I was using an extension power strip which is far from ideal. Just those two things mentioned and Steve was ready to bring me up to code. There were several outlets to install including an exterior as it’s a 72 split level and they didn’t have the power needs we do today. Lastly I have landscape lights in the front steps which is a winding stone staircase. They arrived promptly on the agreed time after hearing me out, and some investigation on their part, they proceeded to get me squared. After it was all done I was expecting a painful bill but the pricing was honest and extremely fair. Their work was quick and efficient. They listened to my needs, asked questions, gave options when something wasn’t working and overall took great care in helping me. If I’d have known it was this easy and cost effective I’d have done this 6 years ago. If I’d have known about 4Gen of course. We own several rental properties and I’m already thinking of some jobs for Steve and Kari. I highly recommend them. In the property world, if you can find honest and professional electricians and plumbers, you go with them every time. That’s how I feel about 4Gen. Hire them. You won’t be disappointed.

Details: Upgrade wiring, fixture, or equipment • Outlets • Wiring • Lights • 8 - 10 feet (standard ceiling) • House

Steve was excellent to work with. He was prompt in responding to my messages and arrived on time and ready to work efficiently. The project involved replacing the original knob and tube wiring in low ceiling attic spaces. He got the work done faster than anticipated and at a lower cost than an estimate despite running into some challenges in the project. When the city electrical inspector showed up for inspection of the work, he spoke very highly of the quality of Steve’s work before even looking at this. It was pretty amazing to hear this unprompted praise! He then looked at all of the work in detail and discussed how well the work was done including why Steve went above and beyond what other electricians may have done in similar situations. I highly recommend working with Steve and will be happy to call him up for my next project!
