Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. We offer services for divorce, custody, separation, estate planning, wills, trusts, personal injury, criminal law, and business formation. A smaller portion of the practice is devoted to helping people regain unemployment benefits.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Choose an attorney that you feel comfortable with. You will be spending a large amount of time working with this person. The best way to determine whether an attorney is right for you, is to schedule a consultation and meet with them.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. It is a misconception to think that you can drop your case off with an attorney and not expect to participate. If "winning" your case is the end goal, the only method proven to work is preparation. Preparation involves working with your attorney on a constant and consistent basis.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. If the matter at issue is one of divorce, it can be important to collect financial information before visiting an attorney. Having bank account, retirement account, real property and other records with you at the time of a consultation can help an attorney better advise you.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Every client has a story, and we strive to ensure that every story has a powerful voice in the courtroom. We know that the only road to success in the courtroom is to dedicate time, passion and preparation in advocating for clients we represent.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Do you offer free consultations? Mr. Hamilton can offer a free initial 15min telephone consultation for family law, criminal law, and personal injury matters.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. The best stories are those that end with satisfied clients. In the field of divorce and custody law, battles are tough and emotional. Achieving satisfaction means that not only does our client walk away with a smile on their face, often their children do too.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. That we are hard working and dedicated to our practice, and that we really do understand the issues and difficulties our clients are facing.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. All of the attorneys in our office regularly attend seminars and legal education classes to stay updated on all new case law and courtroom strategy.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. We charge hourly rates or flat fees based on the type of case and which attorney handles a case. Family law matters are always billed on an hourly basis. Criminal law matters are generally always billed on a flat fee basis. Personal injury is always billed as a contingency (percentage of settlement or verdict collected).
