Mark is an outstanding teacher and musician. I have studied with him for over three years and his style, grace, and humility have always been central to his professionalism. See him perform live if you can!

Mark Hanson is a virtuoso guitarist and a very bright man. His teaching style is kind and replete with techniques that enhance the performance of wannabes like me. He can arrange a playable version of any tune you think you would like to perform. In addition, he has the patience to rise to the challenge of teaching 'older' students.

I am very fortunate and blessed that Mark accepted me as an Adult-Starting-From-Scratch student. He has taught me coordination which enables me to get to all chords on time (a miracle). Mark's guitar knowledge is encyclopedic. He can teach you how to play songs in any style or genre you can think of, and he is extremely patient. Mark Hanson really is a rare teacher, who is able to communicate at the student's level of comprehension and illuminate as many facts as they can absorb.
