I purchased my home at the end of the summer & haven't had the time or the physical ability to do any yard work. I have been looking for an affordable maintenance company for awhile and I originally contacted Julian's Landscaping to perform a one time cleanup of my yard. Three days after I accepted Julian's quote, both my front and back yards look fantastic! He even asked me not to mow until after he comes back and is able to see what growth has taken place in the lawns over 2 weeks. Julian did an amazing job & his attention to the little details is what cinched it for me. I am now having Julian's Landscaping perform my monthly maintenance. I am so happy that I found Julian!

Our Tigard back yard was an (un)holy mess, full of bumps, holes and packed clay dirt, with only patches of weedy grass. It was difficult and very unpleasant to mow, and needed a lot of hard manual labor to fix. I contacted 4 Thumbtack landscape contractors, and asked each to bid on fixing the soil in the yard, and laying new RTF sod. Julian's bid, at $3000, was a few hundred less than the next lowest contractor, and less than half the cost of the high bid, which came from a contractor so busy they wouldn't be able to "squeeze us in" for 2 weeks. Julian was able to start immediately after his current job. I went with Julian and am very happy I did. He ordered the RTF sod I wanted to use, even though it wasn't from his usual supplier. He and his helper Chapulin (Grasshopper) worked their butts off for 3 days to strip off the top layer of patchy grass/weeds, add organics and fertilizer to the clay-soil in the yard, rototill everything, and level it all out. They covered our shady "no-grass" areas with hemlock bark dust. The sod arrived at 8:30 a.m. on our last day, and Julian and Chapulin were cutting and laying it down on the newly prepped yard within an hour. They were done by the end of the day with our 2 back yard areas and the front yard (about 1600 sq ft total). Julian also recommended that we change the location of a few of our in-ground sprinklers so we would get better coverage when watering. I agreed and he added this to the project for a very reasonable additional cost.
Bottom line: Julian is professional, skilled, efficient, and very reasonable on cost. He listens well and doesn't hesitate to suggest and explain his own ideas for landscape repair. I would hire him again without reservation, and I recommend him wholeheartedly.
