About Dana Lightman, Ph.D.

I am a speaker and trainer specializing in the field of optimism and positive psychology. With over 20 years of experience, I bring a wealth of information and entertainment to all my presentations.

My two most requested programs are: "Energize Your Peak Potential" and "There's No Such Thing as Difficult People." My clients include professional organizations, government agencies, hospitals, corporations, and nonprofits.

I am guilty of not limiting myself to a niche market because I know everyone can benefit from learning concrete strategies to stop other people's troubling behaviors from troubling them. And I have seen firsthand the transformative power of knowing how to choose interpretations that put the individual or organization on an upward spiral!

All programs are customized to meet clients' needs, and I look forward to sharing how I might be of service to your group.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Speaking and training are not interchangeable. Make sure you have a qualified individual who is an expert in the area you need.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Look for actual evaluations from clients. Testimonials are wonderful as far as they go, but only actual evaluations will give you the full picture of a speaker or trainer's ability to connect with various audiences.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Please describe your approach to this topic.
