Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: The most important part of my work is to create a custom package for each client. It is important to me to build a relationship with my clients. When a bond is created, I am able to capture images with ease. It is very important that the client feel comfortable during the photo session. When people have a level of comfort I am able to create natural images. When I am working I'm not just snapping pictures, but showing the relationships that are important in my customers life. When I am working, my favorite part about my job is when I am able to provide portraits that my customers have not been able to capture in the past.

Colleen has done phenomenal work for our baseball organization over the past few years. The quality of pictures is outstanding, communication is great, and she handles logistics/scheduling incredibly well. We could not be happier to be working with Colleen!

I have worked with Colleen numerous times and I will continue to do so. She is very passionate about what she does. Not only is she a very talented photographer, she is friendly and personable, she treats everyone with care and respect. Very professional! In the many years I have in working with children, she is by far the most patient and the most fun when photographing kids. She takes her time with them so that they feel comfortable and the outcome is always fantastic! I always have great experience when working with Colleen!

If I had to choose one word to describe our experience with this photographer it would be, disappointing. We had a family picture done outdoors. The setting she suggested was beautiful. When we received the proofs they were in a spiral book, not actual pictures. Some of the pictures were full page and others were 2 in. by 3 in. It is very difficult to determine who might have their eyes shut or not a good smile when you are looking at a 2x3 in. photo with 6 people in it. The full page photos were not our favorites. The photographer put the photos in Dropbox so we could view them on our computer. That helped to see them but we did not have confidence that the colors would be correct as in some of the photos one or two people were shadowed while others were not. She tried to correct the problems and send the pictures again but then the grass looked yellow instead of green and the water in the pond looked white. Also we noticed that not everyone was looking in the same direction?? That seemed strange. It seemed to be the case in most of the pictures. Wouldn't she have noticed that when taking the pictures? Our intention was to get a large canvas wrap for on the wall. We just didn't find a group picture that we could get excited about for the reasons mentioned. The photographer offered to do another shoot for us and not charge us a second shoot fee but one member of the group lives out of state and it was very difficult to get a date that worked for everyone the first time and frankly we were not confident we would get a better result the second time. I ordered two pictures, an 8 x 10 and a 5x7 (not of the entire group, just kids and grandson) In a text exchange with the photographer she said she had ordered them, that she could mail them and that she would send me an invoice for the two. I have never received either an invoice or the pictures. The pictures were taken 4 1/2 months ago. Very disappointing.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

In today's digital world photography has accessible for everyone. Almost everyone has a phone and takes pictures regularly. If I was able to let my customer know one thing about my profession is that I have studied many posing and lighting techniques and photography is an art form. There are certain events in life that having a professional photographer photograph is well worth it. When looking back 10, 15 or. 40 years later the pictures of your wedding will be what you have as a keepsake.
