Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. People often ask me "what is your ideal client" or "who is your target market?" The fact is, anybody and everybody benefits from our services. ICE provides training to a variety of groups:

Community/social groups : Lions Clubs, Square Clubs, Rotary Clubs
Schools, daycares, camps
Industrial refineries, plants, factories
Utilities companies
Nurses, EMTs, Paramedics, Dental Assistants, Massage Therapists
Hotels, casinos, sports facilities
Lifeguards, law enforcement officers, security companies
Friends, neighbors, business owners, babysitters, etc.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. CPR is a very simple technique to learn and to perform. Many people could simply learn the skills by watching a YouTube video. However, most people who know how to perform the technical skills of CPR, would hesitate to do so in an actual emergency. Why? Because most people don't understand or fully recognize the great importance or "need to act" behind bystander CPR, or the impact that bystander CPR has on life vs. death outcomes. Formal classes, give instructors the opportunity to make that emotional and logical connection with class participants- to give real life examples, to convey messages is plain language and make sure that people don't just leave class with a vague idea of how to perform CPR, but rather, with the understanding that they NEED to perform CPR.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Anyone seeking CPR or First Aid training should request references from the company or instructor before coming to any agreements. Professionalism and curriculum compliance should be verified. If someone tells you that they can do a CPR class in about an hour. They are probably cutting significant corners. Though you will likely receive your card at the end of class, having a card without the knowledge or skills to act in an emergency won't do you or anyone else any good.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. It's simple, really:

1. We LOVE what we do and that reflects in our classroom energy and attitudes.
2. We think training should be affordable and we are not so price-fixed that we will not work with a customer's budget to make the training happen.
3. ICE hires only the best, most professional, highest quality and integrity instructors.
4. We keep it simple. You tell us when and where you would like the class conducted, and we do everything we can to make it happen.
5. We are a full-time training business- not a part-time or freelance operation.
6. ICE takes customer relationships seriously and will do what it takes to ensure that our clients are 100% satisfied.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love knowing that ICE actually makes a difference in regards to bystander response during emergencies. On several occasions, I have received feedback from clients and students that simply says "I've been taking CPR for years and today is the first time that I actually got it." The most rewarding part of my job, is being able to forward those comments on to my instructor staff and knowing that there is one more person in the community that will take action when they need to!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Question: How soon can you do the class?
Answer: How soon do you need the class done?
Whether someone is looking so set up a group class at his/her company, or an individual needs a skills verification for an online course, ICE will asks clients to give us 2-3 dates/times that work best for them and we will always make one of those dates/times work.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. My background is in EMS. I worked as a volunteer EMT for several years and have seen the impact that bystander actions during emergencies has on scenario outcomes. I have seen cardiac arrest victims survive because a quick-thinking bystander started compressions or applied an AED. I developed a love for teaching and a passion for community outreach, so the natural link was to establish a company or business that people could turn to for all of their CPR and First Aid training needs.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.
