About
My name is Bob Sauler. For more than 15 years, I have been teaching music theory, guitar and bass. I finished with two music degrees, and for nearly 20 years, I have have been performing professionally. I offer music instruction to anyone, regardless of the level of ability and age. I treat every student as an individual, an in order to build their musical abilities, I work with their personal strengths and weaknesses. I work specifically on the desired music style(s) of each student to keep their motivation to rehearse. Using the music that my students love will help me teach them from the bottom up. My instruction includes the following: * technique * picking and finger picking studies * analysis of the fret board * ear training * traditional and modern music notation * music theory and much more I can work with all popular music styles which include pop, rock, jazz, R&B, country, classical, blues, folk, metal, blue grass, reggae, etc. because I aim to treat every student uniquely. If you'd like to learn music theory, guitar or bass, you will always be excited to learn from the instruction that I offer you!

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When looking for a music instructor, make sure to find out if potential teachers have three things: 1. A solid education in music. (some private music instructors have not studied music formally and therefore they might not understand how best to teach others, even if they can "play" their instrument well.) 2. Professional Experience. (If a music instructor doesn't also have experience performing professionally, he or she might not understand how to apply music studies in the "real world".) 3. Ability to work with individuals. (If an instructor doesn't work with individuals to study the styles and aspects of music that they're most interested in and instead just teaches all students from the same method and in the same direction, that instructor will not be able to focus on each individual in a way that would most satisfy the student's musical interests.)
