I teach voice lessons, beginning to intermediate piano lessons, and beginning recorder lessons.
My style is holistic. I consider the whole person, their needs, and the elements of instruction in each lesson. I am easy to talk to and I go to great lengths to make my students feel comfortable.
I teach bel canto style singing. This is a healthy vocal technique that serves performers singing any style of music.
I have had many voice students go on to study voice, music education, and musical theatre at leading universities.
For piano and recorder students, I consider the student's needs and style of learning in order to choose the best instructional method for each particular student.
I have a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance. I have been teaching for over 25 years. I am a professional singer. My repertoire covers traditional classical vocal and choral music through Celtic music.
