Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Meet with the DJ in person to gauge his/her personality to find out if they are a good match for the type of event you are planning.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. A professional DJ just doesn't show up at your event and play music. A professional DJ will meet with you before, and spend hours at home preparing for your event using the information he/she obtains from your planning meeting(s).
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. How long have you been doing this? Have you done this type of event before? Can you provide references? Can you show me any photos or video of your past events? Do you provide a contract with your services? What is your favorite event that you have ever done and why? Have you ever performed at the location of my event before?
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. How large or small is the room in which the event will be held? Will the DJ be able to accomodate for the size of the room? Does the DJ have lighting? Does lighting cost extra? Would the DJ be willing to stay for extra time if needed?
