    My main computer that I use to run my firm had crashed and everything was at stake.     MDofPC met my order with prompt response and action. That's good enough for me to keep MDofPC on the top of my shopping store list and make more buys. The quick response to my phone call was pleasing. Further procedure was so simple that even my my young girl could have picked up a thing or two over the phone.     My computer was in bad shape and needed to be reloaded, best buy quoted $250 to repair it but MD of PC was able to have it fixed the next day and only cost me $75

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. For residential clients its mostly virus & spyware removal and fixing computer hardware issues like failing hard drives, power supplies, laptop jacks, lcd screen backlights, reflow video and chipsets on motherboards.

For commercial clients we do wired & wireless networking, servers, workstations, software solutions offering IT services for small businesses.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. We warranty our work and payment is made once job is completed. Our staff has over 20 years of computer experience.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. If the price sounds high is best to get a second opinion or quote because some service providers take advantage.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. How long have you been servicing computers?
Describe your problems and look for an intelligent response.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. They should be thinking about the outcome that they expect from the computer service they hired us for.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We arrive on time, do the job we were hired for and stand behind our work. Also our prices are more affordable than most.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Working with the good people of Pittsburgh, if you treat them right they will remember and refer you to others.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. They ask us about our prices and quotes for various jobs. We describe our rates and try to provide the most accurate quote we can.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. The amount of work it takes to get a poorly maintained computer in proper order without wiping it and reloading. We spend on average 4 to 6 hours on optimizing, updating and tweaking to get a computer in bad shape back to proper running order.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I started when I was 13 years old and my dad encouraged me. I am 30 now and will probably do this until i die.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. We configured a mid size business to use high powered secure wireless with about a half mile range using state of the art equipment.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. We are entertaining getting new certifications but mostly we are striving to keep up with all the new technology and tricks of the trade to service it properly and efficiently.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. Microsoft Windows 8 is due for release in end of October, it suppose to be the most refined operating system ever release and significant speed improvements as well us ability to run a new tablets, cellphones and other portable devices.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. Our prices are simple.

Shop rates are $35 per hour or $75 flat rate which includes all labor less parts if needed. Advanced data recovery is extra.

Onsite computer repair service is $35 trip fee and $35 per hour, if you are not inside our typical service area then a small fuel surcharge of $10 to $15 would apply.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. You need to commit your life to it, otherwise you should consider another career choice other than computer repair.

Q. What is your greatest strength?

A. Being able to search for answers I do not know and always striving to learn new things.

We like a challenge and will take the time to research it if needed.

Q. What are you currently working on improving?

A. We are working on targeted areas to pickup new clients from sewickley and cranberry.

Providing same day shop & onsite services and quick solutions when possible.

Adding more laptops, desktops, accessories and common computer parts to our inventory.
