Chase Building Group will FAR exceed your expectations. We had a great deal of work done to our house from these gentlemen. Joe, Tony and the entire team are excellent. I have to say — from day one, really out of this world service. Russ and the boys were top notch as well. Everyone on their entire team has taken the word professional to another level. Joe, beyond the regular job of what is "expected" — its all the little things that matter to me as well. Taking the time to be courteous to the children as they pass and making sure the site is clean when leaving each day, really nice and appreciated. I have professionally been in the customer service industry for the better part of 12 years now. I hold myself and my work to a very high standard, and demand the same from others. Joe — you are truly a man of your word. You have more than delivered what was promised and I truly appreciate every bit of it. I have already been singing your praises and will continue to do so.

The whole job was done sooner than expected and exactly on budget.

    Thank you again for everything.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. When hiring a construction company to remodel your home or build you a new home, make sure the contractor is willing to give references upon request and show you samples of their work. Check their references and take the time to do some research online to make sure that they are reputable business. A contractor with a high Better Business Bureau rating is a great sign.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Always get a quote from more than one company. Find out what specific products they are using and make sure you are comparing the quotes apples-to-apples.

If a price looks to good to be true, it probably is. A lot of construction companies use the bait-and-switch tactic; they price a project very low and exclude needed items to reel you in. They wait until they are awarded the project and they charge you extra for items they knew were going to be needed.

The lowest price isn't the best price. Ask as many questions as possible and make sure the contractor you select has everything included and will not hit you with any unexpected surprises.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What qualifications do you have? Are you certified by any industry organizations? Has your company been rated by the Better Business Bureau? What trade organizations are you affiliated with?

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. What is my budget? What is the ideal time frame for my project to begin? What are the goals of your project? Is there any special circumstances or factors that the contractor should consider for my project?
