We repair antiques: antique chair caning and antique wicker furniture. Antique repair is our work; chair caning and wicker furniture repair is our specialty.
The restoration process for a rocker or antique chair involves the following methods: replacement of broken parts, hand refinishing, and the reweaving of the seat. The process of reweaving may include web or strand caning, Danish cord, shaker tape, fiber rush and flat reed/splint seat weaving.
We also provide services for antique wicker furniture. Wicker is made of twisted paper. Over time, the wicker will inevitably break down. We replace individual spokes and weavers on any chair, settee, chaise, rocker, or swing that is made of wicker.
