Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. First be sure to meet with them at least once so you can get to know a bit about them and to discuss your preferences, concerns and budget.
You're investing a lot in any formal gathering and you want to avoid any surprises you can. Ask what is their experience, ask for client references including phone and/or email contact information, and how they handle VIPS ("visibly intoxicated persons") so you can avoid any liability issues down the road.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Many clients, even those with large event budgets, are still looking for ways to save on their expenses. We regularly work with clients to suggest ways which will enable you to:
1) save 20 to 30% on your total wine cost!
2) save at least 20% on your beer expense!
3) save 10 to 30% on your alcohol purchases!
4) offer a limited bar that will fit your budget while satisfying the majority of your guests preferences
5) recommend the right wines for the theme, guest demographics, season and of course budget
6) How to transform an ordinary table into an attractive and functional service bar! (we do this with paint or other gallon cans)

A. We love working with clients to make sure their event goes well and their guests are delighted with our service. We often end up making friends with our clients and their guests leading to frequent repeat requests. You have to enjoy meeting and serving all types of people or this is not the field for you!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Do you provide alcohol estimates and recommendations? We sure do. Part of our service includes offering FREE estimates for alcohol and other beverages to make your planning easier as well as any specialty or theme drinks which will complement your menu and event theme.

Do you offer server staffing? Yes we do. In addition to experienced bartenders, Libation Specialists also provides banquet and tableside dining servers, valets, decorating assistancts, event planning services and other staff required for large and small gatherings.

What else do you do to help your clients prepare? We offer FREE pre-event consultations either in person or via phone as well as our "Event Planning Check List: which details all the many items you may not have considered from table settings, linens, glassware types and options, and many more.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. We recently worked a large outdoor wedding reception for 275 people which included a full bar with several types of bottled beer and 8 different types of wine. A few hours before the event, we were notified by the brides mother that due to the forecast of rai, the ceremony would be held under the dining tent and that we needed to set up the bar including over 1000 glasses and 1100 lbs of ice BEFORE the guests began arriving. Fortunately, we arrived early and got everything done in time and the ceremony and reception went off perfectly in spite of the rain and change in plans.

I cannot stress how successful our wedding was because of the services of Libation Specialists. They helped us out, with everything, from soup to nuts some would say even though there were no soup or nuts at the wedding). Being in constant contact with Dale, he help guide us through our stressful times of trying to figure out what we needed, how much we needed, where we could find the best deals, etc... He seemed to have unlimited time to help us out with anything. He would always email me back promptly and even would always come back with more ideas or opinions... I like this because I had no clue what I was doing. This was our first marriage and it was such a big event. His guidance really shined through on our wedding day.

As for the day of the wedding. I was so occupied with the wedding itself that I must admit I cannot go into detail about their services through the course of the event. Alls I know is that everyone showed up early, they did their stations, everything looked wonderful (I gave Dale and his group the items which they said they would need and told them to go out at it...). I did not hear one person complain about their services, which for me is a big deal considering that we live in a small town and if anyone can find something to complain about, THEY WILL!!! Clean up was a success thanks to their services.

Though I cannot go into much detail about their services provided on that day, I would find this to be the most helpful part of my review. I was able to do my thing and pay attention to my guests, husband, dace and just simply enjoy my wedding day and did not have to worry a thing about prep. of the food/drinks, serving of food/drinks/cake, or clean up. They did it all and they did an awesome job!!!

We were more than pleased to have them participate in our wedding!! We would highly recommend Libation Specialists for any service needs for your wedding or overall any event. You will get 100% satisfaction!!!
