Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. An experienced Travel Agent can save you not only money but plenty of time and aggravation. Folks think it's easy to just go and book their own vacations online but they don't realize that there are lots of loopholes hidden in small print of airline tickets and hotel contracts.
A trusted travel agent can help you to avoid monumental vacation disasters and help you to protect the money you've invested in your vacation. Often folks don't realize this until it's too late.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Most travel agents earn their living and feed their own families by sales commissions. Vacationkids doesn't charge extra service fees. You may save a few pennies trying to book your own travel online but what you're missing out on is our contact list. After 10 years in the business we've accumulated a long list of friends in very important places. They help us to insure that our clients enjoy a wonderful time during their vacation and most importantly they can be a critical help just in case there are any problems.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Experience is the best teacher. Make sure you are working with a travel professional who has visited the destination where you want to travel with your kids.
Our staff travels to preferred family vacation spots regularly so that we are well informed to help our clients.

Also make sure your travel agent is sensitive to your families needs...are you traveling with a baby, a teenager or both? Do you have a child with special needs? Is this a multigenerational trip or a celebration vacation? Remember when it comes to travel, one size does not fit all!

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. There are 5 important questions you need to ask yourself before planning any vacation...
Where do you want to go?
What kind of trip do you want? (adventure, relaxed, etc)
When do you want travel? (specific travel dates)
Who is going on this trip?
How much do you want to spend?
Without answers to these basic questions, your travel agent cannot work efficiently and effectively to get you the vacation you want. People often don't like to discuss money but having a budget in mind will help you stick to it and again help your agent zero in on the best options available for you and your family.
