Big box retailers often use kids right out of IT tech institutes who have little practical experience. We also provide quick, professional on-site service catered to the customer's needs. If you go to a large box retailer for help, you will have to unplug your computer and carry it in. It may take a while until it gets fixed (if it does) and can be picked up. They may even have to ship your computer to a repair facility which can take days or weeks. Even then, you may have some issues when reconnecting it to your network. We prefer to work on your IT issues on-site to avoid all of this hassle. We also want to make sure that your computer is running well in the place you use it and not the store.

We do a large variety of jobs for clients, so it is hard to say. One day we could be doing a virus removal or hardware troubleshoot for a customer and the next we are explaining to a business owner about the process of moving from an in-house Exchange server to a cloud-based product. We adapt well to each specific situation.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your homework. If you are hiring a tech company, you first want to look at their website. At the very least, a tech company should have an easy to navigate and professional looking website. If they do not, then that is a red flag. Also, it is important to look at online reviews and see what clients are saying about the tech company.
