Introduction: In addition to receiving training from the Rose Tree Reiki Center, Myra Reichel has also done Reiki training with the International House of Reiki. Myra has done additional training as a Karuna Reiki(R) Master which one has to have already worked for a period of time as a Reiki Master. Several years ago Myra also added Magnified Healing(R) as a modality to the sessions she does - this modality is more hands-off than Reiki and works on all systems of the body using teachings given by Lady Master Kwan Yin to Katheryn Anderson and Gisele King. Being helpful to people in times of stress, anxiety, crisis, or just doing a simple relaxation session and seeing the change from before to after a session.

I met Miss Myra at the Community Service Day for Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday at Girard College. I walked by the booth, saw her and asked a few questions. I always do this before I allow someone to touch my body, and could tell Myra had a peaceful, calming energy exuding from within. I inquired about the program she teaches, and decided to try a mini session of 10 minutes. Not only did I feel peaceful, and relaxed but the feeling came BEFORE she actually touched me! Her energy was contacting my nerves before she laid hands on me, which I thought was very profound, and exhilarating! I would like to start training as a Reiki instructor since I would like to heal myself and others. With the way our world is changing we desperately need Reiki trained healers in each community. Reiki can help people protect themselves from stress, and combat its power over the body, which can often lead to illness.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Reiki Master with Rose Tree Reiki 1998-2004, Karuna Reiki (R) with International House of Reiki 2005, Magnified Healing (R), Shinpiden Reiki Master with International.House of Reiki, Institute for Religious Development since 1971. Recently I attended an Ethics in the Digital Age seminar and a Self-Acupressure class. Reiki Practitioners are not required to do continuing education but if I spot a class I think will be helpful I take it.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was facing physical difficulties of my own and a Level 2 Reiki Practitioner did Reiki for me everyday for 14 days and I started to improve then when my puppy's vet was going to remove her leg after a dog attack 2 months before and the same Reiki Practitioner did Reiki for my puppy and the next day she was finally walking on the leg.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Reiki Relaxation sessions. Karuna Reiki (R) and Magnified Healing (R) sessions for chronic diseases, Karmic Issues, and history of abuse or addiction. Reiki for pain and/or anxiety management. Teaching students how to do Reiki, Karuna Reiki(R), and/or Magnified Healing(R) for themselves and others. Teaching Reiki Practitioners how to teach Reiki to others.
