Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. When is a photobooth NOT a great idea? Weddings are the types of events that we do the most, but we are definitely not limited to weddings! We have been featured at 100th birthday parties, graduations, proms, Sweet 16s, Fundraisers and Block Parties. Add an extra dimension of fun to your event with Flash Shack Photobooth!
Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.
A. Flash Shack Photobooth is at home at any event! Recently we had the pleasure of being a part of a 100th birthday celebration, where the guests ranged in age from newly born to 100. It was a party I will never forget. Several proms were on our calendar this year. It was so much fun watching the kids in their formal attire make memories with their friends in our booth! We also have been privileged to have been able to give back to our community through various fund raisers. Of course, we always love to share in the joy of weddings! Call us to see how we can enhance YOUR event!
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. First and foremost, I would say make sure that the person you hire is well versed in the service. There are many providers who are offering a photobooth as an add-on to their main service. While this is not necessarily a bad thing, the photobooth is not their main focus. At Flash Shack, we are constantly improving our photobooth, whether it is updating our software, staying abreast of current wedding trends or adding new technology such as instant social upload. We welcome feedback to help us improve. Finally, I would recommend that you find a provider who is a good fit for you personality wise.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. I would love for the client to know the amount of time that actually goes in to making their event perfect. The three hours that the photobooth is up and running is the only part that they see. Of course, the client knows about the set up of the booth prior to the event and the breakdown after the event. However, they aren't aware of the amount of time that goes in to education, keeping on top of the latest technologies, designing the perfect footer, marketing, client communications, advertising, planning for expos, training, bookkeeping and meeting with potential customers. It is definitely a full time job, with much more involved than the 5 hours at the event!
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. In any service, the consumer should make sure their professional is current in their technologies. Be sure that they can explain what they do. If they do not have an answer to a question, they should be able to find out and get back to you.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. That's easy--LAUGHTER!! There is nothing like watching a group of people enter the photo booth with a serious look on their faces, then hear their giggles and guffaws as their pictures are being taken! I love to see their reactions as their pics are printed and they share their silliness with other people!
