I've been an certified ABMP massage therapist since 1998. In 1999, I started working with Dr. Trish Coughlin-Baitinger, a chiropractor of Radiance Chiropractic Healing Center, who assisted me in identifying what I unconsciously did during sessions with clients; intuitive energy work.
Discovering that massage treatment alone is insufficient to adequately undertake the causative elements that lead to the problems which brought clients to see me, I started to study alternative holistic methods to match the requirements of clients beyond the physical level. I have included and studied the following modalities in my bodywork practice:
- Scientific Swedish massage
- Craniosacral therapy (upledger)
- Neuro-muscular therapy (St. John method)
- Massage cupping
- Reiki (Tera Mai master/teacher and Usui level II)
- Seichem (Tera Mai master/teacher)
- Frequency balancing
- Distance healing
- Sound/vibrational healing
- Work with crystals
- Brain therapy (Barry Gillespie)
- Active isolated stretching (Mattes method)
- Chakra balancing
- Oncology massage
- Aromatherapy
- Myofascial release (Howard Rontal - rolfing-based method)
My healing sessions are unique and nurturing, integrating advanced massage therapy methods, energy work, and intuitive guidance. It is this combination that differentiates my work, permitting the client the chance for integrated healing.
A. If you are looking for a massage therapist/energy worker you should look for someone first and foremost that you feel comfortable with. I suggest you also ask what modalities they have been trained to do and how long they have been in business.
A. My work stands out from others because of the variety and combination of modalities I practice, incorporating advanced massage therapy techniques, energy work and intuitive guidance. The years I have been in practice also sets me apart; the average massage therapist is only in business 2 years, I have been working as a massage therapist since 1998.
A. My favorite aspect of my work is helping people. Especially helping someone who has been in chronic pain for any length of time, to feel better and relieve them of their discomfort.
