Marti took my senior pictures at the end of October, and she did such a wonderful job. I had a lot of fun and the pictures came out great! I've showed all of my friends and family, and they absolutly love them. I would recommend her to any one for any type of pictures.

Question and answer

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love telling others' stories and getting to know the people that I am photographing. There is a great responsibility in being a photographer, and telling someone's story. Being a photographer isn't about just having a job. For me, I love the excitement in the adventures I experience within a portrait session or wedding day. Ultimately, I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. What an honor to have the opportunity to tell their story through photographs.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. About a month ago, I was shooting a wedding in Ohio. It was a snowy, windy day, but I was determined (as usual) to get a great shot outside, regardless of the weather. Picture this: The entire wedding party was standing on a tarp on a ramp outside of the church. I climbed the ramp to get an aerial shot, wearing a dress & tall boots, and was balancing on top (it was about 2 inches wide) to get this shot. We couldn't go too far from the church because it was really snowy. Reminder--I was wearing a dress and my 2nd shooter was spotting me the best that she could. Well, after I got the shot, I began to fall. Yes, fall off of a ramp, in a dress, practically smashing my 2nd shooter. My dress slid all the way up, but in that moment, I was extremely grateful that I had decided to wear opaque black tights, so for the most part, it wasn't a complete disaster. I was also thankful for the bride & groom being heroes and covering the ring bearers eyes. It was just hilarious altogether & no one was injured. :) I'll do almost anything to get a good shot!
