I've been playing two (2) Technics turntables for nearly 19 years. 14 of them are strictly vinyl. I have given up the good fight and went digital 5 years ago. I use Serato now, and really enjoy it!
Though I use a program now, my weapon of choice is still the Technics 1200 turntable.
I play literally everything and anything with a beat, except country music. I like to call my particular style "Dance Floor Scientologist." I will walk into a venue and play/cater to the crowd at hand. People ask me all the time, "What are you gonna play?" I answer plainly, "I never know what i'm gonna play. I just play."
My genres include drum and bass, dubstep, classic hip-hop, trip-hop, acid/mushroom jazz, downtempo, electro house, deep house, breaks, moombahton, and even 80s new wave sets just for fun and giggles.
I play music, and come to throw down, make heads nod, and hips shake.
