Sharon is a very hardworking lady. She is probably the best sytlist out here! She curled my hair for me before and it only took 15 minutes...and it was perfect! So if your looking to get your hair or nails done, go to The Radiance Hair Salon!

When I went there she was so nice, She didn't make me feel uncomfortable like other previous salons that I have been too. She is very personable and that's something you can't really get with businesses these days:)

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system is soley based on the circumstances of the individual event. It depends on the location, amount of people needing my services, andwhat services are needed. For location I normally have a set rate of 50 cents per mile. However, i do make exceptions for larger parties or if there are several services needed. That also makes the difference in the pricing for the updos and makeup. The average updo i charge is between 35 and 50, and the average makeup is between 15 and 25. But again the more people getting done, the better deal i will give.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely! Without continuing education all stylist would still be doing mullets and beehives. Its essential for a stylist to yearly, monthly, weekly, even daily keep coninuing their education. There are bigger events like hairshows which show the latest techniques and styles in detail along with the latest products. Also there are local classes that you can attend for extra learning in every aspect of hair makeup etc. And the daily learning must occur as small as it seems. Every stylist needs to read their magazines. Yes, i am talking about Glamour, Allure, Vogue, and any other magazines. Why? Because those are the same ones my clients look at and pick their style from. If i know what the latest styles are and figure out how to make them work on people, then I have already accomplished the hardest part of being a stylist.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice when it comes to hiring for an out of salon job such as a wedding is to make sure your making it easiest on yourself. I recently got married myself and I have to say that there was so much running around and going crazy the day of the wedding that I was very happy to have someone reliable come to do my hair and my bridesmaids. It was a peace of mind I needed. Also make sure the person you choose is a true professional. If the person your looking to hire is not coming from a salon itself it is actually not even legal in many states. Some arent even licensed as cosmetologist.
