Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Protecting people who owe money from creditor abuse, defending people sued for unsecured debt, especially credit cards and credit lines. Mediating debt settlement with debt collectors to help people who aren't going to file bankruptcy get out of debt.
Some people should file for bankruptcy, but some will damage themselves if they do.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Don't let your credit card lawsuit go to a default judgment. Do something about it in the initiation phase. KPWS Law can still help if the case has gone to judgment, but there are less options.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. If your debt collector knows you are savvy enough to get legal representation, they will often consider you as more trouble than you might be worth, especially for smaller debts.
If you are known for pursuing FDCPA cases against your creditors, you will often be ignored as well. Often, your debt will be sold to a collection agency, who might not buy it if you have hired a lawyer to help you defend your rights under the FDCPA (Federal Debt Collection Practices Act).

A. Lawyer mediated credit card debt reduction is the safest and best way to insure that your credit card debts are settled as efficiently and cost effectively as possible.

KPWS Law will not try to pigeonhole people into attorney mediated debt settlement unless it is your smartest choice.
