Twistback Art Conservancy, Ltd.

Introduction: Twistback Art Conservancy, Ltd. was established in 1970 by Timothy Jayne Sr. and Ruth D. Jayne. Graduates of Temple University's Tyler School of Art, Timothy pursued his career after acceptance at L'Institut Royal du Patrimone Artistique at Brussels, Belgium for training in conservation and fine arts directed by Paul Coremans. Upon returning to the United States, he became conservator for Francis duPont at Winterthur Museum for nine years until opening Twistback Art Conservancy with his wife Ruth in 1970. Their daughter Margaret Jayne joined them in 1984. They are advisors and conservators to many painters, museums and historical societies in the United States, and he continues painting and drawings as he has done since childhood.
