I think I stand out because I really enjoy working with engaged clients. Some people think that good design is something that's done in isolation... the mysterious designer goes into a dark room and cranks out beautiful work. That doesn't work for me. I prefer an engaged client. I prefer for my projects to be more like a game of tennis - when the ball is in motion and the client is active in helping to shape a project - the resulting work is so much stronger.
Also, because I've worked for a boutique marketing agency in the past, I wore a lot of hats. I'm skilled in both print and web design. I also know how to fully code websites. I wouldn't say that I'm a jack of all trades - but I would say that I've got a wider array of design proficiency than most.
I enjoy people. I like making friends with my clients and delivering work that they're excited about.
I also enjoy helping to shape a business or project from ideation into a finished product - whether it's a website that functions as a brochure for business's services or a branding package that delivers a business's message and story.
