Introduction: We are all unique with our own tastes in music and it's awesome that we get to choose what goes on our playlists. Why should private music education be any different? Our instructors tailor the curriculum around your tastes and goals along with exercises to help you succeed. With Philadelphia Guitar School you decide where to begin. No music choice is weird, silly, or boring. We match our students' tastes with our instructors' expertise to make sure youre paired with someone who will make your learning experience fun! All levels, ages, and styles welcome! Children (ages 5 - 11), Teens (ages 13 - 19), Adults. If you want to learn, were here to teach! Current instrument lessons offered: guitar, piano, bass, drums, cello, accordion, mandolin, ukulele. Watching students have "aha" moments! E.g. the first time they make the connection between a chord and a melody pattern.

Dan is a great guitar teacher. He really took the time to understand me and what I wanted to learn and get out of guitar lessons. From there he altered his approach and delivered lessons that were developed just for me and my goals. We spent time working with my pedal board, creating loops and we studied the sonic aspects of music. At the end of each session, I was always blown away by how much Dan was able teach me. The best part is that it doesn't feel like a lesson. It feels like you are hanging out with a friend, having fun. That is what sets Dan apart from the others...he makes learning fun! If you are looking for something different that will get you out of your guitar rut then Dan is your man.

Dan is an outgoing, energetic, knowledgeable teacher. He always has a positive, encouraging attitude and knows way more about guitar than I can fathom. He's great at helping me work on the basics while making sure I get to play actual music early in the process. Highly recommend him!

Dan is one of the most talented and thoughtful musicians I've ever met, as well as an especially astute teacher. Whether you're an old hand or just starting out, Dan knows how to make jam sessions fun and can suit a wide variety of interests, from pop, to hard rock, to jazz and more. I would highly recommend him for guitar lessons above anyone else.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes! Our teachers are also professional touring and recording musicians. We are always looking for ways to improve our playing and knowledge of our instruments and music on the whole. All of our teachers are highly skilled and educated in their craft.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love playing guitar and sharing music with others. Of all the jobs I've had, this is my favourite, second only to performances.
