Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Before hiring anyone, make sure you get referrals from past clients and do more research on this person... And shop around until you find the right event planner. Find out is he or she is trust worthy. And how much is that person is worth.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Make sure the planner is adept in finding the right vendors -- location, entertainment, caterer and florist that is line with your budget.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Here are a few questions you should think about asking before moving forward:

1.What made you want to be a wedding planner?

2.Describe the most challenging wedding you planned and how you handled the problems that came up.

3.How would you rate your problem-solving skills?

4.How would you rate your communication skills?

5.Are you a certified wedding planner? If so, where did you get certified? What is your educational background?

These should help you to move forward in your selection.

After the interviews, ask yourself the following questions:

•Did you feel heard?
•Does the planner understand your vision?
•Did you get a strong sense she/he will work with your budget?
•Was there a good connection and did your personalities mesh well?

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. My work speaks for itself. I take care of my clients by listening twice as much and by taking notes and doing the work that they want me to do. Every client is different, we as a company must give our clients what they want.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love to see people smile and be happy. I love to take people's ideas and make it grand. I think everyone deserves to be treated special... Whether it is planning a birthday, christening, anniversary, wedding, dinner, reunion, retirement party and etcetera, I love to make each event the 'IT' event for that moment!
