Learn Spanish & Gain Conversational Fluency

My name is Ashley, and I have a B.A. in Spanish and speak the language fluently, an a M.A in Second Language Acquisition, and can help you gain conversational skills and improve your fluency - whether you're a student studying the language, a business professional who will be traveling abroad, or simply someone looking to learn from scratch.

Past students have said that one of my greatest skills is my ability to make them feel comfortable, so they can practice the language without feeling nervous, and learn from their mistakes. In general, I'm relatively outgoing, friendly, lighthearted and sometimes silly, and absolutely love having the opportunity to share this wonderful language and culture with others.

I've lived in Costa Rica off and on for years since 2004, where I first attended a Spanish Immersion school, attaining a certificate in Advanced Spanish Fluency. I have also lived in Chile, where I taught at La Universidad de las Ciencia de la Educacion. In addition, I have taught English to international students at Drexel, Saint Joe's and Penn State.

I can come to you, or we can meet in a mutually agreed upon public location - your choice!

Private sessions are $30/hour; group sessions are $40/hour. Alternatively, if you'd prefer to sign up in advance for 10 hour-long tutoring sessions, you'll receive a discount of $50, for a total of $250 for private lessons, or $350 for group lessons.
